Varietal: Bourbon, Jackson, Mibirizi
This coffee comes to us from the Ruhinga Washing Station in Kayanza, Burundi. Coffees from Kayanza have always delighted us with a unique body and soft acidity that sets these coffees apart from other East African coffees. Smallholder farmers grow mainly the Bourbon varietal on their farms and deliver their cherries to Ruhinga for sorting, washing and drying. A stewey combination of red apple, raisins & raw sugar remind us of some great red wines with a gentlem touch of lime acidity.
