Edgar Urbano is a lawyer by trade but inherited Finca La Huerta from his father 4 years ago when he sadly passed. Since 2015, Edgar has been making gradual improvements to the farm to yield higher quality coffee for the specialty coffee market. Edgar has been planting Caturra - a highly regarded varietal to replace some of the aging Typica strains his father planted 30 years ago. This recent harvest was Edgar's first proper crop and he's ecstatic his coffee has found a home in Australia.
Cherries for this lot were strictly picked ripe then exposed to a dry fermentation for 30 hours before being pulped, washed and shade-dried on parabolic beds.
