Finca Peña Redonda lies in La Palma; in the heart of the remote Chalatenango region at an altitude of 1550 masl. Finca Peña Redonda is a family business. Carlos is the one that coordinates the workers, manages fertilization and everything concerning the coffee trees. His brothers are responsible for the post-harvest and drying processes. Their mother helps them by hand-sorting the parchment and carrying out quality control. Carlos and his family have been progressively climbing up the rankings in El Salvadors Cup of Excellence in recent years including a 9th place finish in 2017 and a 7th place finish in 2019.. The recognition has been hugely beneficial for Carlos and his family and a great motivator for investing further in the farm.
