Noeli and Lucimar de Paula are the husband-and-wife team behind this farm called Sítio Rancho Dantas. . They inherited the property from Sebastião Pereira de Paula, the family's patriarch, and the farm is adjacent to the land of his Noeli's uncle Valdeir de Paula, who is also a specialty-coffee grower. Half of this farm is covered in native forest, which creates an ideal situation for coffee to grow. There are also abundant sources of water, and the de Paulas are interested in conservation activities such as planting more native trees and protecting local wildlife. The landscape is lush and green, home to diverse animals and plants, including delicious coffees.

The small, coastal state of Espríto Santo is located in the southeast of Brazil and contains microclimates unlike virtually anywhere else in the country: Brazil's traditional Natural process is practically impossible here, as well, due to the heavy mists and fog that roll across the coffee farms in the mountains. Noeli is particularly interested in processing experiments, even attempting what is called "biological fermentation," a full Washing process inspired by coffee producers in Guatemala. This washed process is extremely rare in Brazil as the vast majority of the countries production is dominated by Natural & Pulped Natural post harvest processing methods.
